About Ping An Finance Center and Free Sky Observation Deck

That is 599 meters of glass and stainless steel, and the facade alone weighs about 1,700 tons. Designed by the American firm Kohn Pedersen Fox and completed in 2017, the Ping An Finance Center is the tallest building in Shenzhen and the second tallest in China, behind the Shanghai Tower.

The Free Sky observation deck is on the 116th floor, more than 540 meters above the ground. From up there, Futian turns into a scale model: straight avenues, blocks of towers and green patches of park, and you can grasp at a glance how much was built in a little over four decades. On a hazy day the view disappears, so check the sky before buying your ticket.
