About St. Stephen's Cathedral

From Stephansplatz, the roof looks like a geometric fabric stretched over the church: the tiles form coats of arms and an imperial eagle. The Stephansdom brings together a nave, chapels, towers and catacombs. Looking up already pays off; looking down from above means choosing the climb.

The south tower has stairs; the north one has an elevator, but it may involve steps as well. Not every interior area is covered by the same type of visit. Services take place here: plan your tourist visit around them and keep your voice down.
