About Sultan Ibrahim Building

The tower above Bukit Timbalan gives away that this building once housed important decisions. The Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim was the seat of the state administration and combines Malay, Islamic and colonial references. Looking up, you can see why they chose the hill.

Plan to view the exterior from the permitted public access points. The state tourism guide says the building is not open to visitors; gates and restricted areas will not turn into a tour just because you insist. This short stop fits well with the return to the center and the night market.
