About Bandstand and Bandra Fort

In Bandra, the sea breaks close to the 1.2-kilometer promenade where the neighborhood jogs, strolls and sits to watch the day end. On Sundays, Artist's Court usually hosts music sessions open to anyone passing by, and the amphitheater at Land's End hosts events like Celebrate Bandra. On the horizon, the cable-stayed Bandra-Worli Sea Link connects the neighborhood to Worli over the water.

At the end of the road, next to the Taj Land's End hotel, stands Castella de Aguada, Bandra Fort: a watchtower the Portuguese built in 1640, keeping an eye on Mahim Bay and the Arabian Sea. The stones have served as a backdrop for Bollywood films such as Dil Chahta Hai.
